Elaine and Mitchell both proposed to one another on New Years Eve Eve at dinner in Detroit. She said yes. He said yes. After their proposal they went back to the Shinola Hotel in Downtown Detroit. They stayed in a beautiful room with windows from almost floor to ceiling and a beautiful fireplace. They brought their bunnies with them too! The day after they proposed they had asked me to take their engagement pictures (preplanned) and we got to utilize their amazing room at the Shinola Hotel. They cuddled up with their bunnies, had some champagne and kissed a lot. Then we went downstairs and walked through Parkers Alley to MadCap Coffee. We had the best hot chocolate and warmed up from running around outside. We talked about their proposal and life. Elaine and Mitchell are the sweetest souls you will ever meet. They are calm and confident and love each other so boldly. It’s the kind of love that you see in movies, where its written all over their faces, but it’s completely natural and not obnoxious at all. I loved being able to photograph this season of their life and hangout in downtown Detroit.
