Monarch Club Detroit Elopement | Lana and Alex
Lana and Alex got ready for their elopement at Shinola Hotel in Downtown Detroit. They booked a room with their own private balcony that looked over Woodward. Alex waited for Lana out on the balcony for their first look! They had their friends nearby with family on video call to be part of the day. They took the time after their first look to embrace one another, spend time together, and take some wedding portraits before the ceremony!
After taking some portraits on the balcony, we walked down Parker’s Alley next to The Shinola Hotel. It is such a pretty walk way that we stopped for a few pictures before making our way to The Monarch Club, just on the other side of the alley.
They had The Monarch Club to themselves before they opened. This gave them plenty of time to relax, see the bar, checkout their multiple balcony and enjoy the view of Downtown Detroit. Soon their friends joined them and they went into an igloo for their marriage ceremony. Nichole, from A Simple I Do, was their officiant and lead a beautiful ceremony for them. they exchanged vows and rings and then they were married!
They hungout in a private igloo for drinks and enjoyed the rest of their evening hanging out with their friends and celebrating.
Lana got her wedding dress off of Etsy and had silk flowers for her wedding day! The dress was perfectly tailored to her when she ordered it and made the process super easy! Her flowers gave such a great pop of color on this winter day. Alex got his suit from Bonobos. Funny enough, from their balcony they could see the Bonobos storefront on Woodward!
After their ceremony they signed their marriage license out on the balcony. One of their friends had live streamed the ceremony for family to join and watch. It was so special to have their family there in some way even if it couldn’t be in person.
Having an elopement or small gathering at The Monarch Club, you are able to have your own private igloo for drinks! They have a variety of specialty drinks for you to choose, and they are all delicious.
