Why You Should Get Engagement Pictures
1. You Get an entire gallery of pictures outside of your wedding gallery
During your engagement pictures, you’ll probably wear an outfit or two that look like your day to day or a bit dressier. You’ll love your wedding gallery with your wedding attire and all the moments from that day. But your engagement session will allow you to have a whole gallery of pictures in different attire too.
2.Build a relationship with your Photographer
Engagement pictures are an amazing opportunity for you to work with your wedding photographer before your wedding day. This way your photographer is a friendly face. It breaks the ice, builds a relationship and understanding of communication of how to work together.
3. It gives you experience in front of the camera
You get to know what it feels like to know what it's like to work with your photographer. How they direct and pose you and how you feel in pictures. It’s like a test run before the wedding day. You can get a hair and make-up trial, why not create a date night, meet your photographers, and experiment in front of the camera. You get to warm up to working with your photographer and how to move in front of the camera. (Don’t worry - I’ll be there for you to help you pose, relax, and have a good time!)
4. It gives your Photographer the ability to learn about you
During your session we can get to know what angles you don’t like or do like. Do you prefer more posed or candid. This can all be discovered together during your engagement session. It lets us as your photographer to see your connection in real life, your quirks and flow, and how to best communicate with you specifically. (heck yes we can connect with you on your wedding - but why not give yourself time if you can!)
5. You deserve to document this season of your life
This is an amazing season of life. Why not celebrate where you are in life with pictures to document it! Whether you have been engaged for a long time or you just got engaged, you deserve to have quality pictures of you and your partner.
6. It gives you a time for you and your partner to connect
It’s a fun experience and this brings you close together. Your photographer will probably ask you questions about your relationship, so you get to talk about details of your life and share stories. You’ll also be close physically with all the different poses and prompts your photographer gives you. You’ll be touching and holding each other and connecting the whole time!
