The Loves: Talia and Chris’ elegant engagement pictures in Detroit

The Detroit Institute of Arts is one of the most romantic, beautiful and historic buildings in Detroit. When Talia told me she wanted an elegant engagement session, I knew exactly where we had to go. Talia and Chris walked up and they were dressed to the nines! We strolled around the DIA and took a walk around to the reflective pools. They held each other close and let the light shine on one another. We got to talk more about them and I was able to hear their love story. Talia and Chris met in high school and depending on who you ask, their story could be told a bit different; as to who liked who first and how it all went down. Talia and Chris have been best friends and dating since high school and Chris asked Talia to be his wife and she obviously said yes! And long story short… it was meant to be. It was so fun getting to see them love on one another, holding each other close, and just have so much respect for one another.

After walking around looking fabulous, Talia and Chris changed into a more casual outfit. Talia had a very specific vision of what she wanted, and she nailed it. She wanted a jean jacket with her new last name on it. She couldn’t find the one she wanted, so she made it herself! I would have never known it was DIY because it looked SO legit! Plus, her new last name is Love, so she is truly winning here. We walked around downtown, from The Fox Theater to a rooftop where we could see Comerica Park, it was a magical night.
