Detroit Rooftop | Royal and Audrey

When I was in the process of rebranding and redoing my website, I wanted to take fresh pictures of people wearing colors/clothing that matched the colors of my website. I knew I had to contact Audrey. She has her own magazine and has amazing fashion and taste. I sent her some ideas and she let me know that her husband and herself were totally down to work with me to create some photographs in downtown Detroit. She asked me for my colors, and it matched her personal brand pretty well. We met up on a parking garage close to Comerica Pak off of Woodward in Detroit.

During their session Royal made a comment that they had been together for 10 years. It was perfect timing that we were creating these branding pictures, but it truly meant more than just pictures, this is a marker in their relationship. I love that about photography. It’s so much more than pictures, it’s a story.
