David + Chelle Cancún Destination Wedding
David and Chelle are some of the chillest, sweetest, most down to earth people you will ever meet. Their friends and family truly represent their hearts and create the best group of people to be around.
They planned a destination wedding in Cancún, Mexico at the Royalton Riviera Cancún. With a ceremony under the geometric pavilion and a beach reception, it was everything you would dream it would be. On their wedding day everything was going well until the planner informed us of the chance of rain. They had a few options, one was to pray that it didn’t rain and everything goes as planned, the second option was that if it did rain they would have to decide before the ceremony if they would have an indoor reception or no reception (since the DJ and everything had to be set up), or the third option would be to risk the beach reception and if it did rain the DJ and dance floor would leave and they would tough it out in the rain. It was pretty stressful making that decision on their wedding morning! David came into the salon to talk it through with Chelle and they decided to risk it and hope their would be perfect weather to continue with the plan of a beach reception.
Their ceremony was perfect. The ocean was behind them, David and Chelle exchanged personal letters and vows and they laughed and cried! It was so emotional and amazing. Everyone could feel how much they love one another from their shared words. After the ceremony they had a cocktail hour with a mariachi band!
Then came time for their reception. With a small break between the wedding ceremony and the reception, everyone was able to cool down from the Mexican sun, Chelle came out with dress #2!!!!! They strutted onto the dance floor for a grand entrance and went right into their first dance. David’s brother gave a speech that made everyone laugh and Chelle’s sister gave a speech that made everyone cry. It was the perfect balance. After eating from the taco bar they had the cake cutting. Apparently, it’s a tradition for the host to have the couple kiss foreverrrr after they cut the cake and it was hilarious as the host counted to 10 and everyone cheered them on! Soon after this the dance floor was opened! It was a perfectly clear night and everyone was able to dance the night away with no interruptions!
After receiving their wedding pictures Chelle and David sent me a card that said “ …you possess a natural ability to relate to your clients and really make them feel at ease in front of the camera. You captured so many moments that we will treasure forever. Thank you for being genuine-ly awesome and bad-ass! We appreciate your level of professionalism (aka non stop hustle), and consider you a true friend.”
