The Corona Virus has impacted so many people’s weddings. My heart goes out to everyone working on re-planning or rearranging their wedding due to this situation. As a Detroit Wedding Photographer, I am waiting with my clients for updates and information from the Governor to see what is allowed in our state. Things are constantly changing, however we don’t know the exact future. Because we don’t know if we can have weddings or large events in this next few weeks or months, so many are pushing their weddings back a few months or even into 2021. While we work on navigating what we are in, here are a few tips and ideas to communicate with your guests to let them know what your new save the date.

1.Send a Virtual update to your guests

This can be with an email blast, a Facebook event, and e-vite, you can update your guests on your new wedding date online!

2. Use this Canva design or create your own to print a postcard with a new Save the Date!

Canva is a great resource to create beautiful designs for free! You can create the design and then print these at your local FedEx or Walgreens.

3. Update your wedding website!

With this update - you still need to contact your guests, not everyone will look at your website for updates on their own. You can update your website and still send a printed Save The Date or do it online with email.

4. Contact the shop/designer where you originally ordered from.

Some companies may be offering discounts, sales, or doing something for their clients during this time. It can’t hurt to see what others are offering during this time. You can reprint your original design with the new date too.

I hope this helps you! As you are planning, feel free to reach out to me, your wedding photographer, or other wedding vendors to see what they are doing for you during this time. We are in this together and I hope to see you soon. Stay safe.
